Achieving a Bridal-White Smile
1) Professional cleaning- A professional cleaning or scaling and prophylaxis done in a dental practice before your wedding can help remove stains that might otherwise make your smile less attractive. Food, beverages or tobacco have caused the discoloration of the teeth. It can lead to halitosis or bad smell from the mouth and also cause the gums to bleed. Scaling and prophylaxis removes stains, tartar/ deposits, and bring freshness to the mouth.
2) Whitening – A Whitening (also called Bleaching) is a procedure that brightens teeth that are discolored or stained. This is always done after scaling and prophylaxis is complete.
Healthy teeth that have yellowed with age, or are stained from coffee, red wine or smoking, usually respond well to whitening. Whether you choose in office whitening system, or the more economical home-whitening system, the effect is equally good – the difference is just the time it takes.
3) Bonding- If your teeth are chipped, broken, cracked or badly stained or have slight gaps, ask our participating dentists about bonding. Bonding is a cosmetic procedure that uses tooth-colored materials that are attached or bonded to the tooth surface. The process can improve unsightly stains from coffee, tea, tobacco or certain medications taken in childhood. Bonding sometimes is used to correct chips or to fill cavities.
5) Tooth jewellery-Beautiful crystals can be bonded on the tooth for instant glamor. These crystals come in various shapes and colors. It only takes 5 minutes to stick crystals / skyce to the teeth.
